ABM Creates New Consumer Products
A local company known for its innovative agricultural products has brought that expertise to the consumer market. Advanced Biological Marketing (ABM), headquartered in Van Wert, now has two consumer products utilizing all-natural, environmentally friendly bacteria to clean and cut down odors in septic tanks and recreational vehicle holding tanks. The products, Septic-eeze™, and RV-eeze™, are a natural way to clean and eliminate odor. Septic-eeze™ is a blend of five bacteria that speed up the breakdown of solids in a septic system.
The concentrated formulation eats paper, starches, grease, proteins, fats and oils, is safe for pipes, helps prevent septic backups, is friendly to the environment and has a fresh natural orange aroma. RV-eeze™ contains billions of 100-percent organic, active bacteria and enzymes scientifically proven to digest an RV's black holding tank. Using RV-eeze™ restores the balance of beneficial bacteria and enzymes needed to help keep a holding tank system operating at maximum efficiency. Gregg Giessler, production manager for ABM, came up with the product ideas, which are now being test marketed at a number of area locations. Those include: Lee's Ace Hardware, Flat Land Supply and Alexander & Bebout in Van Wert, Huggy Bear Campground outside Middle Point, Fortman's RV in Kalida, and True Value hardware stores in New Bremen and St. Henry.
Giessler said the new consumer products
are not so very different from the company's agricultural products, such
as Excalibre™, which also use bacteria to improve crop growth and yields. "We
feel these new products will provide consumers with an environmentally safe
way to clean and control odor in septic systems and RV tanks," Giessler
said. The product is being manufactured and packaged at ABM's new facility
on Bonnewitz Avenue. For more information about ABM, feel free to give them

Advanced Biological Marketing expanded last year, building a 7,000 sq. ft. building on site at their Bonnewitz location. A loan was received through ODOD for almost $1M to construct the building and purchase equipment. The more than $1.2M project will add four positions and create 8 high paying jobs within the first three years.
